  • About: Hello and Welcome! My name is Narine and I am a Russian teacher and dialect coach.  I am a native Russian speaker who moved to LA from Moscow, RU over 10 years ago. Prior to my move, while still being a student myself, I started teaching both Russian and English as a Second Language courses to other students. I never intended to become a teacher by profession, so I graduated with a degree in Business Administration (minoring in Real Estate and Human Resource Management). Nonetheless, the rewarding fascination with teaching has not allowed me to stop ever since. I absolutely love and have helped many students of different demographics throughout the years. Such wide teaching experience has taught me to always customize my techniques to ensure that my students learn in the most natural way to them. For this purpose, I use different working materials and an eclectic mix of approaches (lecture, demonstration, discussion, brainstorming, role plays, and repetitions). While working with Strommen I have also had experiences working with actors and preparing them for film and TV roles.  * Few things to keep in mind when you allow me to be part of this exciting journey with you. I am a very much goal oriented individual myself; which means that the goals of my students automatically become my personal goals. With this in mind, I always take time to ask open-ended questions in the beginning of our first session to provide you with most effective and efficient results. This also, allows me to better focus on your specific goals; while understand your learning styles, skills and preferences with homework. While many people believe that learning a new language can be too challenging, especially Russian. I strongly believe that with the right tools and tricks, the process can be incredibly rewarding and fun at the same time. And just like someone once said: “Things don’t get easier with time, we simply get better”.
