- About: Hallo zusammen! Mein Name ist Tony and I’d love to help you dip your toe into the wide world of German language proficiency! I have over 20 years of experience with the German language and am particularly passionate about teaching my students to speak with a minimal accent. I am a Los Angeles native whose college studies in classical music and German took him abroad to the Goethe Institut in Göttingen, Lower Saxony. While I was there I began to appreciate more than ever how much overlap there is between both English and German and have since made it a core feature of my teaching for beginners. Apart from my teaching activities I am an award-winning, published photographer and I also continue to learn new pieces on the piano in my spare time. I love to work with my student’s own interests and hobbies to find topics that will keep the learning process engaging.
