I am an Ohio native and moved to Chicago to attend DePaul University where I graduated with honors, double majoring in International Studies and Political Science. My undergraduate writing led me to participate in the Midwest Political Science Association Conference and spend a semester learning and working in Washington DC as a member of a prominent NGO. My interest in international culture and Spanish took me to Barcelona where I became fluent in Spanish and earned a CELTA certification, teaching English. Upon return, I went on to tutor and teach students in English, Spanish, and ACT/SAT prep. I moved to Los Angeles in 2016 and love living in this cosmopolitan, multicultural city where I have continued my ESL teaching within the LA area. I have also spent my life playing music and sports: I have studied guitar for over 10 years and still play soccer and basketball. I am a very personable and open teacher who cares about the improvement of my students skills. Learning best occurs when students are relaxed and having fun and I ensure my students enjoy themselves while giving them the structure to succeed.
