My name is Oded and I was born and raised in Tel Aviv, Israel. I came to Los Angeles about 20 years ago and I worked as an animator for 16 years. Three years ago i discovered my passion for acting and writing and I am following that passion now. Teaching has always been part of my journey: As a teenager I tutored younger kids in various subjects. Later, as part of my service in the Israeli Military, I taught reserve soldiers and after completing 4 years in an academy for arts and education and earning a teaching degree I became a teacher for photography in a private school in Tel-Aviv. My name, Oded, means "To Cheer UP or Encourage" and it fits me perfectly as in my teaching I am friendly, encouraging and open to the needs of my students.

My name is Adam. I was born and raised in Tel Aviv, Israel. I received my BFA in fine art from Bezalel Academy of Art in Jerusalem. I exhibit my art internationally in Museums and galleries. Before moving to L.A. 8 years ago, I was teaching art at Bezalel Academy of Art, as well as tutoring Hebrew privately. My approach towards teaching in general puts the connection with the individual student at the center, focusing on his/her specific level and needs. When teaching Hebrew I believe in introducing specific cultural references to the lesson structure. I have a large collection of Israeli music, film, literature, and children's books, which adds a new dimension to the experience of learning Hebrew.

My name is Alvina. I am a skillful and enthusiastic Armenian, Arabic, Hebrew and Russian teacher, an avid traveler and passionate educator. I've lived in Los Angeles for 3 years working as an interpreter and literary translator. I've enjoyed traveling and exploring the New World! I hold BA and MA degrees in Arabic studies, a PhD in Linguistics, and graduated from the European Institute for Jewish Studies in Sweden. I have taught Standard Arabic and Modern Hebrew, lectured on intercultural dialogue, grammatical tradition, linguistic historiography etc. and have published articles on Arabic and Jewish Studies, participated in many academic programs, conferences and research projects in Europe and Middle East. My background spans almost 15 years of experience in planning, leading, and continually improving language programs to achieve significant language progression. By teaching students from a wide range of backgrounds and learning styles, I have improved my communication, creativity, and motivational skills. Highlights of my qualifications include: Creating individualized plans and programs to facilitate a targeted, personalized approach to education․ Employing a wide array of instructional techniques, and technological tools—including hand-outs, presentations, videos, online activities, and foreign language laboratory assignments—to facilitate improved language abilities. Using and implementing e-technologies in different settings.

My teaching is based on a practical and concrete approach. I give the student tools so that he can build his language by himself as quickly as possible and without mistakes. The course is based on developing dialogues related to the context of the student's life. The course is complemented with explanations about the structure of the language, exercises, videos, newspapers, etc. According to the student's requirements, the course can progress from oral expression to written expression and reading at an advanced level. I teach through the LIMUD NAIM platform, in which I enjoy the predicate of "MASTER TEACHER".
