Spanish is our most popular language by far, and our tutor roster reflects that. Los Angeles is the second-largest Spanish-speaking city in the world after Mexico City. Spanish is everywhere: in the neighborhoods, the restaurants, the businesses, the entertainment industry. A lot of our students are professionals who work with Spanish-speaking colleagues and clients, actors preparing for roles, parents who want to speak with their kids in Spanish, and heritage speakers filling in the formal grammar they never learned at home. Should I take private or group Spanish classes?
Private classes are more flexible and focused. Group classes are more social and affordable. Many students do both — private for rapid progress and group for practice and community.
How long does it take to learn Spanish?
Spanish is Category I — the easiest for English speakers. With regular lessons, most students reach conversational ability in 4 to 6 months. Ten hours of private classes covers a full semester. We also offer intensive programs.
Do you offer Spanish for actors?
Yes — we run a dedicated Spanish for Actors course and have coached talent on over 150 film and TV productions. Our dialect coaches work on set with actors at Netflix, Disney, Marvel, and more.
Do you have a free Spanish level test?
Yes — free CEFR level test at strommeninc.com/language-tests/spanish-level-test/. Takes about 10 minutes.
