Do you have all the info for your first class?

Check you lesson confirmation email, or look for a direct email from your online teacher. The email will contain info stating whether the class will be held via Zoom, Skype, or Google Meet. We use different video conferencing tools for different classes as they all have strengths and weaknesses.

Do you have a phone/tablet or computer

We recommend using a Laptop/computer for classes as they can me more reliable and offer more options for conferencing. Once you have determined the software you will be using (Zoom, Skype, or Google Meet) you can search for any of these options by typing them into google.com or use our links below (all of these are free):Online Class Help

Make a test call to a friend:

It is always recommended to try a test call when using new software before trying it in a group class setting. That way you will be ready to participate and not trying to fix sound or microphone issues. You can import your contact list for friends you might be able to call.

Online class help checklist:

  • Is your software on
  • do you have strong wi-fi internet? Perhaps ask a neighbor to temporarily share their wifi?
  • Are you in a loud place? if so, make sure you have headphones with a microphone (apple style earphones work).
  • Do you know how to mute yourself and/or other people? This can be helpful if you have an interruption etc.

This Page will be updated with more online class help topics as questions come in!
